Happy New Year from Sweet Magnolia Travel!

Happy New Year from Sweet Magnolia Travel!

As I think about the year that has passed, I am honored to count Sweet Magnolia Travel as one of my many blessings.  Having started the company 3 years ago with not much more than a passion for research and travel, the hobby has evolved into an artform that I can offer to others in the effort of helping them in making memories with loved ones. Realizing that whoever sows generously will also reap generously, SMT will always offer its services with no cost to clients.  I am truly grateful for each and every client that has allowed SMT to design their vacations this year.

Looking at the year ahead, I vow a continued commitment to four goals and invite you to consider the same:  I will take the time to be thankful for each blessing, even the things that do not seem like blessings at the time.  I will be ever hopeful and expectant for good in my life and I will not fear.  I will take the time to rejuvenate with each and every project I undertake, knowing that I can only give to others with a full heart, and can give nothing if I am empty and burnt out. I will plan a vacation for myself and loved ones, a celebration of life, each year.

Gratitude is everything.  It’s about having respect for the circumstances and people in our lives, even if they seem unfair at times.  We are what we think about, what we repeatedly do, as well as our intentions; we reap what we sow, and unexpected weeds in our gardens give us cause to reflect on why they are there.  “Count it all joy…”  When we value all things and all people with gratitude, we are respecting the principle of equality itself, which is essential to building a good community and thereby a good society.

Adulting comes with the pressure to perform in the workplace, meeting the demands of everyday living, and often living up to others’ expectations.  We may fall into the trap of working relentlessly to have “everything” but when is enough enough?  I declare that I will focus on the good that I intend to create, with no needless worrying about pettiness. “Keep your eye on the prize…”  As a young child, without ambition, pride, and haughtiness, I will spend my time imagining the blessings growing in my garden each day.

Vacations are nice, and of course I like taking them, but cannot depend on them for revitalization. A vacation should be a celebration of goals accomplished, not recovery from burn out. It is important to set intentions each day for what seeds will be sown, to reflect on the day at the end of it to assess what went well and what can be improved upon, and to reward thyself for thine effort, having faith that I shall have the desires of my heart. Reflection on what had to be done to meet a deadline, along with giving yourself the resources to meet an upcoming deadline, is  the last stage of one project and the first stage of the next.

Sweet Magnolia Travel is here for you when you’re ready to plan your celebration of life with your loved ones.  With thousands of suppliers to choose from, your travel agent will design your trip for the amount of money you want to spend.  Current clients enjoy a $50 referral fee for each new client who reserves their vacation with SMT.  Call Sweet Magnolia Travel today to research your trip so you don’t have to!

Blessings for the New Year,
