Group Trip to Greece April 3-13, 2021

Carmen and Ivy Holley, with Sweet Magnolia Travel, are hosting a guided tour of Greece with a Greek Island cruise April 3-13, 2021!  We will visit many of Greece's ancient sites such as the Acropolis and Olympia, as well as the ruins in Mycenae, dating from 1,350 BC described in Homer’s epic poem, “The Iliad”. We will visit the amazingly well-preserved 2,300-year-old open-air theater in Epidaurus and visit Delphi as ancient Greeks did thousands of years ago to seek the wisdom of the Oracle, tour the excavations and  visit the Archaeological Museum.  We will also enjoy a cooking demonstration, where we will learn to make traditional tzatziki; take a sirtaki dance lesson; and enjoy a glass of ouzo, all the while being accompanied by an expert Tour Director who will bring Greece to life by sharing its history, stories, and insider secrets.

Our Mediterranean vacation continues with a 3-night Greek cruise on the Aegean Sea, where we will sail from Athens aboard Greek Celestyal Cruise ship to dock on the legendary island of Mykonos to wander amid its iconic windmills and white houses. Sailing toward the shores of Turkey, we will visit Kusadasi and the ancient excavations of Ephesus. Onto the tiny Greek island of Patmos, and then we sail to the island of Crete to explore Knossos, the center of the 3,000 BC Minoan civilization. We will also sail, weather permitting, to the panoramic and volcanic island of Santorini- “The Black Pearl of the Aegean”. From the picturesque fishing villages to ancient historic sights and sailing the Aegean Sea, this Greek cruise and tour vacation has it all!

The basic cost of the trip for each person is $1,879, which includes a full buffet breakfast daily, plus all meals on board daily featuring full à la carte breakfasts, lunches, and 3 course dinners; enjoy an optional dinner at a local restaurant 3 days. The price also includes accommodations, prepaid gratuities, transfers, travel protection, onboard gratuities, and all taxes and port charges. The deposit for the trip is $250, due on or before June 20, 2020.  The balance, which will be determined according to the number of people traveling, is due January 20, 2021.

The benefit of traveling with a group is that the more people who travel, the less expensive each person’s fare will be.  With every 8 people that travel, the 9th person travels for half price.  For every 16 people that travel, the 17th person travels for free.  If you are a group leader, you will enjoy these discounts according to the number of people traveling with you.  All individuals traveling, not with a group leader, will share the savings equally according to how many are traveling.  The small Greek Celestyal Cruise ship only accommodates 40 people, and for the reason that the trip is available to travelers all over the world, space is limited.  The $250 deposit is refundable, should space become unavailable; first come first served. The prices in the itinerary are base prices, not reflecting gratuities, transfers, travel protection, onboard gratuities, taxes or port charges.*
